The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma Central Constituency, Jefferson Sackey, has sent a clear message to the National Democratic Congress MP Dan Abdul-latif, urging him to prepare for a shift in the political landscape at the 2024 elections.


Mr. Sackey said that he was hopeful about winning back the seat in 2024.


On Saturday, December 2, 2023, NPP delegates from all over the country cast their votes for their parliamentary candidates in orphan constituencies. The Electoral Commission (EC) was in charge of overseeing the elections.


Jefferson Sackey, a member of the Jubilee House staff, received 539 votes in Ablekuma Central; Ebenezer Nartey received 441 votes; Collins Amoah received 493 votes; and Larry Anyetei Adjei received 11 votes.



"Latif should be ready because there is a new energy that is in Ablekuma Central Constituency now and there is a wave of change," Mr. Sackey told journalists after being declared the winner.


"There is new expectation that is coming so he ought to simply prepare himself. However, I can reassure them that we will retake our seat in the elections in 2024.


He said he planned to team up with everything different applicants to guarantee that the seat was won.
