The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has provided the most definitive indication of his running mate prior to the 2024 election.
Talking with NDC allies in the Bono East Locale, Mr. Mahama implied that the person who might be picked as his running mate is a man.
He went on to say that this man was a minister in his government and diligently carried out his responsibilities.
He is well-known to all; He is very resourceful and humble; “He was a member of my government,” Mr. Mahama implied.

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Mr. Mahama's running mate in the 2016 and 2020 general elections, has been dropped, according to the announcement.

During a recent meeting with the former president, the caucus urged him to change his mind about who he wanted to be his running mate.

Eric Opoku, who hails from the former Brong Ahafo Region and is being pushed by Lordina Mahama, is one of the other candidates for running mate; Former Eastern Region Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah; and Ashanti region native Samuel Sarpong.
