With their victory over Wolves at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal moved four points ahead of Wolves in the Premier League table.

The Gunners, who beat Lens 6-0 in midweek, scored first when Bukayo Saka beat Craig Dawson in the penalty box and shot low into the bottom corner.

Martin Odegaard completed a magnificent team move involving Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus to double the hosts' advantage, making it 2-0 shortly thereafter.

As Arsenal pressed for a third goal that would have sealed the victory, Gabriel Martinelli's low shot hit the outside of the post, and Leandro Trossard and Jesus both came close.

Matheus Cunha tested David Raya's reflexes with a powerful effort at the near post in the second half, before curling a superb drive into the top corner with five minutes left to give the visitors hope.

Gary O'Neil's side couldn't finish the fightback, in any case, and Eddie Nketiah terminated against the edge of the objective for Armory not long after Cunha's strike.
